Voisin (Jersey) has been recommended by two of the industries leading directories, the Chambers UK Guide and the Legal 500.

The Chambers UK Guide lists both solicitors and barristers in over 70 specialist areas of law. Since 1989 they have been researching the UK legal profession, identifying the leading lawyers and law firms through interviews with thousands of lawyers and clients.

Position in the tables is determined by reputation in the market and is compiled by the guide’s independent editorial staff.

The guide highlighted key experts from Voisin such as Michael Preston who was described as 'A highly capable courtroom lawyer' [From Chambers (UK 2010)] and Nigel Pearmain who was highlighted as a Key Individual. Tara Family was also highlighted as an 'Associate to Watch'.

The Legal 500 inclusion puts Voisin side by side with major firms worldwide. The guide has been published for over twenty years and provides the most comprehensive worldwide coverage currently available on legal services providers in over 100 countries.

Voisin achieved ranking in the following categories: Commercial Property, Corporate and Commercial, Dispute Resolution, Employment, Investment Funds, Private Clients, Trusts and Tax, Structured Finance and Securitisation.

Voisin scores points for being ‘orientated towards achieving the desired results in the most cost-effective way’, with team head Ashley Hoy considered ‘legally skilled and effective’ and Michael Preston highlighted for his ‘great charm and sharp mind’. In addition it reported that ‘Voisin excels on the contentious trust side. Nigel Pearmain heads the team and is recommended.’ The Legal 500 also highlighted Voisin’s Employment Legislation as a strength.

Overall it said that the team at Voisin provides ‘exceptional client care’ led by ‘attentive and knowledgeable’ managing partner Ian Strang.

The results in both guides are testament to the skill and hard work of Voisin’s employees under the strong leadership shown by the partners in the firm.
