Piper Alderman (Sydney, Australia) Corporate Partner, Dr Teresa Schafer has been invited to sit on the board of the Association of Regulatory and Clinical Scientists (ARCS). This appointment recognises Dr Schafer’s deep involvement in the sector and acknowledges the significant contribution she has made to the industry.

ARCS is the key pharmaceutical and medical device association of scientific members from the industry with a focus on professional development in the sector. ARCS currently has more than 2000 members and represents the majority of relevant companies and organisations across the industry.

Dr Schafer commented on her appointment:

“ARCS is an organisation I’ve been involved with for a long time and I’m honoured by this appointment. As a member of the board I will be able to help set the tone for professional development in the therapeutics industry and provide vital input from a scientific and legal point of view.”

Dr Teresa Schafer is both a lawyer and scientist with more than 16 years experience in the pharmaceutical and medical device industry in Australia and New Zealand. She has worked extensively in the industry, both at senior management level and in a consultancy capacity.
