Burgis & Bullock expand to new offices in Nuneaton

Burgis & Bullock have continued to grow our presence amongst the Nuneaton business community after expanding to new offices.
The firm, which employs around 60 staff, moved to Elliot Park last May after 30 years in the town centre at Gethin House.
The way in which the accountancy industry works has changed so much over the years that the growing firm required a more modern working environment so when the chance to take a unit at The Courtyard became available, it was the perfect fit.
Since then, the Firm have consolidated their successful relocation, bringing in a further 42 clients over a 10 month period.
Partner Sean Farnell said: “The move has been a huge success so far, we had big ambitions and we have surpassed our aims.
“One of the main factors behind moving from Gethin House to the Courtyard was to increase efficiency by ensuring our space was as suitable as it could be to the changing environment we work in today.
“Moving away from Nuneaton was not an option because of the number of local companies we work for across a wide range of sectors, and because many of our long-serving staff are local.
“The client base has increased since the move and we are delighted to have started working with so many new clients and to have strengthened our presence amongst the Nuneaton business community.”
Burgis and Bullock commissioned the building of Gethin House on Bond Street, and have now let it to skills firm APM which was previously based in Mill Street, Nuneaton.
The move has coincided with a period of change both in practices and attitude across the accountancy industry, with Burgis & Bullock putting themselves at the forefront of new ideas and technology.
This has included introducing clients to Xero software in preparation of the incoming Making Tax Digital scheme and the creation of the Business Mastermind Group.
Sean said: “We have certainly had a busy period in terms of day to day activity, but we have also been looking at the bigger picture and preparing businesses for the introduction of Making Tax Digital, which has been a huge task over many months.
“Our work in this area has involved numerous seminars and meetings with clients to discuss best practice going forward.
“It has also involved a lot of work with Xero, learning about the advancements in their software which will help us help our clients.
“We have also experienced real success with the launch of our Business Mastermind Group, bringing together professionals from a wide range of sectors once every six weeks, for presentations and discussions on how they can improve their business or make contacts that would be mutually beneficial, thus increasing productivity and profitability.”
