Wealth & Finance magazine have announced the winners of the Women in Wealth Awards 2017. Burgis & Bullock are delighted to announce that Rosy Hughes, Partner who heads up our Private Client Tax team has been awarded the accolade of “Private Client Tax Advisor of the Year 2017 – UK”

Showcasing the innovative contribution of women in the financial industry whom play a huge role in creating new possibilities for equal representation in a male dominated market, the Women in Wealth Awards 2017 were designed to recognise and celebrate the achievements of female financial professionals.

Studio Rock (Milan, Italy) and Mercer & Hole (London, England) started a new collaboration this year: an International “Professional” Exchange Program for their associates. The two firms are giving their associates the opportunity to spend a period of about six months working for the other firm. Luca Viel, Senior Associate at Studio Rock was the first to pursue this opportunity, spending 8 months this year at Mercer & Hole's offices in London.

Anderson Anderson & Brown LLP (AAB), one of the leading independent firms of Chartered Accountants + Business Advisors in Scotland, has announced that fee income within its outsourcing division has grown by 25% in the last 12 months, driven by new clients coming on board throughout the UK. AAB has welcomed 50 new clients to the division which has resulted in an extra five new jobs being created and a further five promotions within the team.

Whilst over half of AAB’s outsourcing clients are still UK headquartered an increasing number of international businesses coming to the UK are now working in partnership with AAB, with many of these businesses being internationally owned or managed from overseas, in a host of countries including Norway, Italy, USA, UAE, Italy, Mexico, Australia and Russia.

Mercer & Hole Chartered Accountants are delighted to announce that the firm has been recognised in the AccountancyAge Top 50+50 Survey 2017 and for the first time in the firm’s history it has achieved a top 40 position.

Mercer & Hole are positioned at number 36 in the rankings, having climbed 8 places, from number 44 in 2016. The survey also highlights Mercer & Hole’s fee income is up 23.46% year-on-year.
